Early voting is now open for the Alaska Primary Election. The election uses a Nonpartisan Top Four Primary, meaning the top four candidates in each race will move on to the General Election. Registered voters in Seward, Lowell Point, and Bear Creek can vote early at Seward City Hall Council Chambers, 410 Adams Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, until Monday, August 17, 2026.

Election Day is Tuesday, August 18, 2026. On that day, Seward and Lowell Point residents will vote at the Seward Community Library Community Room, 239 Sixth Ave., from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. These areas are in House District 5.

Bear Creek Service Area residents will vote at the Bear Creek Fire Hall from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Bear Creek is part of House District 8.

The ballot includes 16 candidates for U.S. Senator, 15 for U.S. Representative, and 17 for Governor/Lieutenant Governor. There is one ballot measure: Ballot Measure No. 1, which would limit campaign contributions.

Voters in House District 5 (Seward and Lowell Point) will choose among 3 candidates for State Senator District C and 2 candidates for State Representative District 5.

Bear Creek voters will choose among 3 candidates for State Representative District 8.
