The Seward Parks and Rec photo contest event, held Friday, Nov 21, at Resurrect Art coffee house, brought out a fantastic crowd this year, showcasing photos across 6 different categories. The energy in the room was great, and the photos were stunning.
The crowd enjoyed live music by Ron Marsh while guests wandered among the entries, each trying to pick just one favorite for the People’s Choice award.
CONTEST REQUIREMENTS
- Photos had to be taken in Alaska
- Photos had to be submitted by residents living south of Mile 35
- Each winner walked away with a $50 gift card to Resurrect Art and a metal print of their photo.
- Professional photographers were not eligible.

This annual contest has quickly become a favorite local tradition, with a great turnout and so much local talent on display. If you missed it this year, think about entering next time as a fun way to share your photos and celebrate life in Alaska with friends and neighbors.
