SPRD held a pop-up Doubles Pickleball tournament last week and had a blast. After two evenings of grueling competition and dinking in the kitchen, the Seaveys came out victorious! Check out these photos from the tournament!

Seward Nordic Ski Club hosted the 555 (5 hours, 55 minutes of skiing) at Trail River Campground. Exit Glacier Road, The Iditarod Trail, Divide Ski Area, and Trail River Campground were groomed with excellent skiing this past week. Six new people were taught to ski at the 555 event.

The Seward Community Library hosted Emily Jordan’s hour-long Your Cycle, Your Superpower: Understanding the Menstrual Cycle presentation on January 12, 2026.

The American Legion Seward Post 5 and the Seward Auxiliary American Legion, Unit 5 have partnered with the center for the 11th year to continue serving older Alaskan Veterans a FREE lunch, served Monday – Friday, Noon to 1:00 p.m.
