Seward High School proudly recognizes Lukas Scott as Student of the Month for September! Known for his creativity, school spirit, and dedication, Lukas has made a big impact through his world as the school mascot, his role in the announcement club, and his personal student film project.

“It’s pretty fire to be recognized,” Lukas said.“I’ve worked hard to get here, being the mascot, making my movie, and building strong relationships with my teachers and peers.” Many people have commented on his enthusiasm when he wears the Seahawk costume at sporting events.

Lukas’s favorite subject is journalism, where he gets to create an original script, direct and produce his own movie while involving several students as actors. “I love being behind the camera and telling stories,” he shared.

Balancing academics and activities, Lukas sticks to a strict schedule: finishing his schoolwork during study hall, filming after school, and taking on the role of mascot duties on Fridays. He also hopes to start a movie production class next year with the support of Mr. Dye.

Lukas acknowledges Mr. Williams as his biggest inspiration to work hard in school. “He’s a great mentor and even stars in my movie as a teacher,” Lukas said.

Beyond his projects, Lukas is dedicated to helping others and spreading positivity. “Be yourself, get involved, and fill every minute of your schedule,” he advises other students.
