A group of 74 protestors, supported by a procession of 110 cars, gathered peacefully to voice their concerns about the current political climate and the Trump administration. Participants ranged in age, including 93-year-old former newspaper owner Bev Dunham, and all described the demonstration as enthusiastic and caring.
When asked about their main concerns, many protestors expressed difficulty singling out one issue, citing a sense that problems are growing and multiplying. Individual responses reflected a range of worries:
“What’s on my mind these days is how do we get back our democracy?” said Jim Fredrickson.
CJ Rae pointed to “the lawlessness of our Federal Government,” while Robin Colman simply responded, “Freedom.”
Lisa Rininger expressed concern about Robert F. Kennedy Jr., stating, “RFK bothers me because that’s right down to people’s health. He seems to be a measure of just how stupid things are.”

Other participants mentioned the importance of democracy and checks and balances.
“Democracy not Autocracy,” said John Page.
Mike O’Conners worried about shifts in government structure, saying, “The erosion of how our gov works, the branches of power, it’s not good to be changing that.”
Sharon Ganser cited “the defunding of the CDC” as a pressing issue.
Mark Swanson emphasized, “This has nothing to do with conservatism or politics.”
The event remained peaceful throughout, with protestors focused on expressing their concerns and calling for change.
