We’re heading into another City Council meeting next week, and the agenda is full of items that help shape Seward’s future — from investing in public safety equipment to refining development programs and expanding employee benefits.
These types of decisions might seem procedural, but they’re how we keep our services strong and our priorities moving forward.
Outside of City Hall, it’s been a busy stretch of civic engagement. I recently joined our Harbormaster in Anchorage for the U.S. Coast Guard appreciation dinner and had the opportunity to meet with both Senator Murkowski and Senator Sullivan — important conversations that help keep Seward top of mind at the federal level.
Whether it’s local action or state and federal partnerships, everything ties back to keeping our community connected, prepared, and supported. I hope you’ll follow along during the August 25 Council meeting or take a look at the meeting packet when it’s released later this week.
See you around town.
