| Seward Community Health Center announces new mobile clinic, longer Saturday hours |
| Seward, AK – Seward Community Health Center is expanding our hours and sites this month to make healthcare more accessible in Seward. SCHC will be open later on Saturdays and offer care at the mobile health clinic on Thursdays and Fridays. Effective this week, SCHC’s clinic will now be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, matching the clinic’s Monday through Friday schedule. This will be a year-round schedule change. SCHC’s new mobile clinic is also providing health services at an additional location beginning May 22! The mobile health clinic van will be out on Thursdays and Fridays throughout the summer to provide same-day healthcare. Patients can call 907-491-1928 to find the clinic’s location each day and schedule an appointment in advance; the mobile clinic will also accept walk-ins! The mobile clinic has a dedicated care team to provide primarily acute care services. These offerings add additional opportunities for the community and visitors to receive care as we enter the busy summer season. “We are excited to make healthcare more available to the community and visitors,” said SCHC CEO Jilian Chapman. “By keeping our doors open longer on Saturday and having the mobile clinic available at a second location, we hope the Seward community, seasonal workers and visitors will find it easier to be seen by a healthcare provider for acute care needs.” |
