Dear Friends of the Seward Folly,

Three weeks ago, we launched an experiment: a new kind of local paper for our community. Your response has blown us away – over 2,100 visitors and 9,000 views already! To everyone who’s been reading, sharing, and supporting us: thank you. You’re proving that local journalism still matters.

But here’s the truth: we’re at a crucial moment. While 25 generous donors have stepped up to support our mission (and we’re incredibly grateful for each one), we need more help to keep the Folly going. Traditional advertising just doesn’t cut it anymore for local papers. That’s why we’re trying something different.

We have a clear path forward:

  1. First, we need more readers like you to chip in – any amount helps
  2. Next, we’re reaching out to local businesses for partnerships
  3. Finally, we’re working toward non-profit status to access grants and bring in fresh perspectives

Here’s where you come in. Our small team of passionate volunteers pours their hearts into this paper, but we’re journalists, not marketers. We need you – yes, you – to help spread the word. Share our stories. Tell your friends. Post about us on social media. Be our voice in the community.

The Folly isn’t just our paper – it’s yours. And with your support, we can build something special here in Seward.
