February 6, 2026 Seward Folly

It’s been a busy and fun stretch since my last update. I was lucky enough to
spend my birthday skiing in Japan an unforgettable trip with incredible snow,
great food and just enough adventure to remind me how much I appreciate
coming home to Seward.

Since returning it’s been right back into the swing of things. I attended the
Pacific Northwest Symposium for the Cruise Line Industry in Anchorage,
continuing important conversations about maritime operations partnerships and
the long term opportunities they can bring to our community. These kinds of
discussions help keep Seward well positioned as we look ahead and plan for the
future.

Back home Council will begin the evening with a joint work session alongside the
Port and Commerce Advisory Board creating space for shared discussion and
alignment on key port related topics before transitioning into the regular Council
meeting. These collaborative conversations are an important part of how we
approach planning and decision making and help ensure we are moving forward
thoughtfully and together.

As always thank you for staying engaged and for being part of what makes this
community and this work so rewarding.
