January 8, 2026, Seward Folly

by Kat Sorensen

As we ease back into routine after the holidays, it feels good to start the year together. Winter has settled in here in Seward. The nights are long, the lights are still glowing around town, and there is a lot of good work ahead. Our first Council meeting of the year is a chance to set the tone for the months ahead and focus on what matters most.

Monday’s agenda includes conversations about priorities for 2026, the essential services our community relies on, and work that continues to move forward across the organization. Council will consider a mix of practical decisions and longer-range topics, including infrastructure, utilities, and legislative matters, along with updates that help keep everyone informed about where projects stand and what’s coming next.

We value having these conversations openly and with community input, and we appreciate everyone who takes the time to stay engaged. The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, with opportunities for public comment throughout the evening.

It’s a good way to start the year, and we’re glad to be doing it together. Thank you for the care and attention our community brings to these conversations.
